I asked the wisdom of the tarot what I should focus on today, as I’m feeling agitated and restless. Having just finished my first book and also having finally sorted my website out, I’m at a loose end. There is still book two to finish, but I feel unmotivated; the emptiness of completion, maybe. And although I struggle with not ‘doing’, I’ve run out of steam. So instead, I’m sitting in the garden with a few decks and my journal, enjoying the last of the summer sun.
The ‘Revolution’ card from ‘The Sacred Earth Oracle’ is reminding me that its not always harvest time. There is a natural flow to life, with cycles of action and productivity, and down times, when little can be achieved. It is about knowing when to rest and when to take action.
The next card, The Queen of Wands, which is my Significator card (i.e., represents me), from ‘The Tattoo Tarot’, is advising me that I should make the most of this time by using it to reconnect with myself, because I’ve been so tied up with things recently that I’ve forgotten how to have fun. With her gentle grip on the wand, I am also reminded not to force things. Again, its about the flow of life. So, today, The Queen of Wands is encouraging me to soak up the sun and to forget work, as it will soon be time to get moving again.Tags: cycles
